Sharjah International Book Fair
I am excited to be attending the 2011 Sharjah International Book Fair, the event’s 30th annual festival.
Sharjah’s 2011 program is big, diverse and exciting, and includes:
  • Leading Arab authors
  • Country focus on India and city focus on Edinburgh, Scotland
  • Open-mic sessions of evening literary and poetry readings, hosted by Big Bridge magazine
  • Geekfest!
  • Genre focus on comics, including a Community Comics Centre at the Fair
The theme of the Fair is For the love of the written word, a beautiful sentiment and a great way to frame literary discussions. Learn more about Sharjah International Book Fair at their website or blog.
